Mama Mzungu Update

Welcome to our first video update of 2021! Simply click on the photo below to be taken to the IGTV video to watch it in its entirety. I will do these kinds of videos every couple of months or so, not only to give our followers an update on the going ons of our growing business, but to also give a broader perspective and report on what is going on with our NGO, Women and Children with Albinism in Uganda (WACWAU). Exciting times for Mama Mzungu at the moment and a true testament to just how powerful women's economic empowerment and job creation can be, not only in fostering independence and self reliance but also in terms of breaking down social barriers and changing a society's perception of marginalised communities. You will also hear how important it is to educate people and dispel the ignorance and myths around these women's success. It has nothing to do with incorrect beliefs and superstitions about persons with Albinism but instead an absolute consequence of their work ethic, commitment and drive. The motto for WACWAU has always been to 'Change the Image' for women affected by Albinism. Have a listen and see how Mama Mzungu is doing just that.
